I do not call you servants any more… I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have learnt from my Father. Jn 15:14
Jesus calls us his friends. I find this quite mind blowing! Because friendship means that Jesus is in some sense treating us as equals. What do friends do? They hang out together, they chat with each other and exchange confidences, they trust each other and they are there for each other.
I know that Jesus is a good friend to me, and I pray that I will be a good friend to him.
