Love

As the Father has loved me so have I loved you

Jesus said to his disciples, As the Father has loved me so I have loved you. Remain in my love. Jn 15:9

One thing which has become clear to me during this time of lock down, is that love is actually more important and more powerful than almost anything else. We can give up money, work, convenience, leisure activities, even shopping, in order to protect those we love.

Many people have gone out of their way to help others, even to help strangers. We have discovered heroes in carers, delivery men and women, nurses, supermarket employees.

There is much to ponder here. As things very gradually begin to return to normal, I hope and pray that our new normal will be more focused on love and kindness, putting people first.
