As we remember those who died in the two great wars of the 20th century, and in so many other wars, as we remember so many young lives lost, let us pray for peace. Let us pray that the human race learns to stop killing each other. Let us pray that we will learn to live together in peace. Let us pray that all nations will support leaders who seek peace. Let us pray for peace in our own lives. And in these times let us pray for peace with the earth.
Even in the midst of such sorrow and the memory of such violence, let us also remember that the blood of Jesus was shed for forgiveness.
